According to Bank Indonesia, a <a href="https://www.bi.go.id/id/fungsi-utama/sistem-pembayaran/ritel/instrumen/default.aspx" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">billet giro</a> is an order from the Drawer to the Drawee Bank to transfer a certain amount of funds to the Beneficiary's account. When using giro bills, the following general principles apply:

	<li style="text-align: justify;">As a means of transferring orders.</li>
	<li style="text-align: justify;">Non-transferable.</li>
	<li style="text-align: justify;">They were published in Rupiah currency.</li>
	<li style="text-align: justify;">Written in Indonesian.</li>
</ul>

As a payment instrument, Bilyet Giro also has a deadline of 70 days from the withdrawal date. After 70 days from the date of withdrawal, the Giro bill is no longer valid, and the Drawer's obligation to provide funds for the Giro bill is waived.

<h2 style="text-align: justify;">Formal Bilyet Giro Requirements</h2>

In its use, the giro bill must meet the following formal requirements:

<ul>
	<li style="text-align: justify;">The name of the "billet giro" and the billet giro number of the party concerned.</li>
	<li style="text-align: justify;">Name of Interested Bank.</li>
	<li style="text-align: justify;">A clear and unconditional order to transfer a certain amount of funds at the expense of the Drawer's checking account.</li>
	<li style="text-align: justify;">Recipient's name and account number.</li>
	<li style="text-align: justify;">Recipient Bank Name.</li>
	<li style="text-align: justify;">The total amount of funds transferred both in numbers and in letters. The amount of funds transferred is carried out in Rupiah currency.</li>
	<li style="text-align: justify;">Withdrawal Date.</li>
	<li style="text-align: justify;">Effective date</li>
</ul>

The Effective Date must be within the Appointment Deadline.

Filling in the clear name of the Drawer can be done through personalization by the Attracted Bank, including at least the name of the Drawer as recorded at the Attracted Bank. The clear name of the Drawee is not required to be included when issuing the giro bill if it has been personalized by the Drawee Bank. In the event that the Drawer is a legal entity/business entity, the clear name of the Drawer is the name of the legal entity/business entity.

</ul>

The Drawer's signature is carried out using a wet signature in accordance with the signature specimen administered by the Drawee Bank. In the event that the Drawer is a legal entity, the signature is carried out by a party authorized to represent the legal entity or who receives power of attorney, the specimen of which is at the Drawee Bank. The Drawer's signature can also be accompanied by a seal/stamp if it has been agreed upon in the account opening agreement.

	<li style="text-align: justify;">The drawee/giver must fulfill the formal requirements for the giro bill above.</li>

<ul>
	<li style="text-align: justify;">The Drawer cannot cancel the Bilyet Giro during the Drawing Period (a period of 70 days from the Withdrawal Date).</li>
	<li style="text-align: justify;">The Drawee can submit a request to block Bilyet Giro payments for certain reasons during the Appointment Deadline.</li>
	<li style="text-align: justify;">If the Bilyet Giro is lost or stolen, the blocking request letter must be accompanied by a statement from the Police.</li>
	<li style="text-align: justify;">If the Bilyet Giro is damaged, the request letter for blocking is accompanied by the damaged Bilyet Giro. </li>

Understanding and Formal Conditions for Bilyet Giro

In connection with the announcement by Bank Indonesia and the Joint Decree of the Three Ministers of the Republic of Indonesia regarding National Holidays and Collective Leave in 2024, it is hereby notified:

1. April 8-15 Bank MAS offices are closed to the public.

2. BI-RTGS, BI-SSSS, BI-ETP, and SKNBI services will close on April 8-15, 2024, and return to normal operations on April 16, 2024.

3. BI-FAST services usually operate (24 hours, seven days) during the Eid al-Fitr holiday.

4. For customer comfort and convenience in transactions, customers can take advantage of 24-hour services via Mobile Banking, Internet Banking, Bank MAS ATMs, and the ALTO, Prima, and ATM Bersama ATM networks.

5. The following contact center services will be available during the Eid al-Fitr holiday.

a. Call Center 1500011 and Email Care@bankmas.co.id: Still able to serve customer complaints (24 hours).

b. Social Media (FB, IG, Twitter) and merchant complaint email merchant.care@bankmas.co.id will again serve questions and complaints from customers starting April 16, 2024.

6. On April 16, 2024, all branch offices will reopen, and we are ready to serve customers.

Service Information During the Eid Al-Fitr Holidays in 2024

Dear Valued Customers,

To maintain banking performance while still observing the principle of prudence and improving customer service quality, Bank MAS will implement the Combined Unprinted Transaction (GTU) provisions, which will be implemented effectively on May 29, 2024.

Combined Unprinted Transactions (GTU) are transactions that have not been printed on the savings book in a certain amount or period can be combined into 1 (one) debit transaction and 1 (one) credit transaction (according to the type of transaction concerned) and the transaction has not yet been merged. The system prints it automatically. Bank MAS still provides information regarding transaction details in Combined Unprinted Transactions (GTU).

Customers who intend to obtain this information can download the e-Statement, which contains detailed GTU transaction information via the Mobile Banking and Internet Banking applications. Upon customer request, the Bank can print bank statements containing detailed GTU transaction information at the nearest Bank MAS branch office. In this regard, customers will be charged a fee according to Bank MAS's internal policy.
