Bank MAS Opens Branch Office Now in Bandung!

Today, August 10, 2022, PT Bank Multiarta Sentosa Tbk (Bank MAS) opened its 36th office network on Jalan Braga no. 8, Bandung.

The opening of this branch office is a series of Bank MAS work programs in 2022, after opening a branch office in Pontianak at the beginning of the year, and plans to open one more branch office in Yogyakarta. All of these activities are intended to strengthen the branch network of Bank MAS further.

Bank MAS began operating in 1993 and became part of the Wings Group as a controlling shareholder in December 2013, adding capital to become a BUKU 2 Bank. And in June 2016, it obtained a license to operate as a Foreign Exchange Bank to serve foreign exchange and export-import transactions. Bank MAS officially listed itself on the stock exchange and traded its shares on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in June 2021 with the MASB stock code. Bank MAS branch network is spread across Jakarta, Semarang, Kudus, Solo, Surabaya, Malang, Lampung, Palembang, Medan, Banjarmasin, Pontianak, Makassar, Kupang, and currently in Bandung.

As of June 2022, Bank MAS has assets of IDR 20.37 trillion. As the Covid-19 pandemic is under control, the wheels of the economy are moving again, as illustrated by Bank MAS's credit growth of 7.80% to IDR 8.50 trillion in June 2022 compared to December 2021 and public funds collected amounting to IDR 17.28 trillion. Until the middle of 2022, Bank MAS' performance has managed to record a profit of IDR 139.63 billion, growing 60.08% (YoY) compared to June 2021 profits.

Bandung was chosen as the location for the 36th office because it is one of the big cities in West Java with high economic growth. This city, thriving with the leather, apparel, and food industries, is a trade center in West Java, close to Jakarta's capital. As a bank that develops its business in the commercial sector while still paying attention to the SME sector, the city of Bandung is a good market for Bank MAS's business growth.

To support the business growth, Bank MAS already has online onboarding facilities via mobile banking, called MAS Mobile, which is available both on the Apps store and Play Store, for online account opening without needing to come to a branch office.

With MAS Mobile, customers can enjoy several benefits, such as free transfer fees with all banks in Indonesia, and a QRIS payment facility, which makes it easier for customers to complete transactions without the need to provide cash.

In addition, customers can also withdraw money at all ATMs that are members of the Prima and ALTO networks without being charged a withdrawal fee.

Bank MAS will continue to develop digital-based services, collaborating with fintech and other institutions to provide more diverse services through mobile banking. In addition, internet banking services are also available for both individuals and companies.

The commitment of shareholders and the precautionary principle implemented by management, as well as employees who work professionally to support the creation of better relationships between Bank MAS and its customers, are valuable assets for Bank MAS to continue to grow. Amid an improving economic climate in Indonesia and starting to get out of the pressure of the Covid-19 pandemic, Bank MAS is optimistic that it can develop even better in the coming years.
