Opening of Bank MAS Karawang Office

PRESS RELEASE

Today, October 23, 2024, PT Bank Multiarta Sentosa Tbk (Bank MAS) inaugurated its 41st branch office at Jalan Kertabumi No. 1, Karawang.

The opening of this branch office is part of Bank MAS' work plan in 2024, after the company previously opened a branch office in Denpasar at the beginning of the year. This step was taken to strengthen Bank MAS' branch network as part of hybrid business development, both through expanding the branch office network and through digital banking.

Bank MAS has been operating since 1993. In 2013, Bank MAS officially joined the Wings Group, which then became the controlling shareholder since December 2013. Since then, Bank MAS has increased its capital to become a BUKU 2 Bank and obtained a license as a Foreign Exchange Bank in June 2016. In the second quarter of 2024, Bank MAS was officially appointed as an RDN Bank and Payment Bank to serve stock trading transactions. This marks Bank MAS' strategic step in expanding its banking services, especially in supporting transactions in the capital market.

Bank MAS' branch office network now reaches several cities, including Jakarta, Tangerang, Depok, Bekasi, Cibubur, Bandung, Semarang, Kudus, Solo, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Malang, Lampung, Palembang, Pekanbaru, Medan, Makassar, Banjarmasin, Pontianak, Kupang, Denpasar, and now in Karawang.

In addition to expanding the branch network, the development of technology-based businesses with Internet Banking and Mobile Banking products is also being carried out continuously. By utilizing digital channels, Bank MAS facilitates customers in opening accounts or applying for credit online. This initiative is part of Bank MAS' commitment to providing easy access to faster and more efficient banking services and supporting digital transformation in the financial industry. In October of this year, Bank MAS launched the "BEBAS" digital banking application, which allows customers to enjoy interbank transfer services online or via BI-FAST without fees. In addition, customers can also make cash withdrawals without fees using Bank MAS ATM cards at all ATMs in Indonesia.

In September 2024, Bank MAS had assets of IDR 29.26 trillion. Bank MAS' credit growth in September 2024 increased by 13.91% to IDR 11.04 trillion compared to December 2023, with public funds collected amounting to IDR 24.86 trillion. Until the third quarter of 2024, Bank MAS recorded a net profit of IDR 158.52 billion.

Karawang was chosen as the location for the 41st branch office because this city is a growing industrial and economic center. Along with the development of the commercial and MSME sectors in Karawang, Bank MAS is optimistic that it can contribute positively to the local economy. Supported by the Wings Group ecosystem spread across this region, the presence of Bank MAS in Karawang is expected to provide benefits for both the commercial and MSME sectors.

With the economic conditions continuing to improve and political conditions tending to be stable with a smooth government transition, Bank MAS is optimistic about facing the coming years.

Support from shareholders, the principle of prudence applied by management, and the professionalism of employees will strengthen the relationship between Bank MAS and customers so that Bank MAS is ready to face future challenges.
